Hurricane Supplies will be Tax-Free this Weekend

PSA: Tax-Free Weekend 6/2/2017-6/4/2017

Boyer Law Firm would like to remind our clients that there will be no sales tax this weekend for hurricane supplies.

Because of the upcoming hurricane season, hurricane supplies will be tax-free.  For example, any portable self-powered light source (powered by battery, solar, hand-crank, or gas) under $20 will be tax-free.  Similarly, tarps, tie-down kits and bungee cords will also be tax-free.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration estimates that the 2017 hurricane season will have an above average storm season.

Furthermore, we encourage everyone to prepare themselves for the upcoming storm season.  Additionally, if you would like to know more about the upcoming weather season, contact your local weather station.

For specifics on the qualifying tax-free items, click here.

If you have any questions or concerns about your commercial property and any potential liability please contact us.
